After years of engaging with the Gulf countries, we have decided to present our company profile in Arabic as well. In previous insights, we have already explored museology in the Arabian Peninsula, along with the complexities and challenges that may seem such to us because we approach the concept of the museum from a predominantly Western perspective.

Indeed, we have often emphasized that the museum is a product specific to the West, particularly Europe. However, if we accept the idea that heritage and cultural identity—both tangible and intangible—can be preserved, protected, enhanced, and contemporized through the museum institution, then we as Westerners must be ready to listen to what appears different.

Introducing ourselves in Arabic is, for us, a further demonstration of our willingness to embrace the many facets and specificities of the world. Arabic is the official language of 25 countries and one of the six official languages of the United Nations. It is spoken by approximately 300 million people worldwide, and about 2 billion are familiar with it through reading the Qur’an. It is a complex yet fascinating language in its semantics and calligraphy, which becomes a form of art.

Our AVEA method encourages us to delve into cultural phenomena and even unspoken needs, addressing topics without prejudice or presumption. Learning a new language helps us bridge distances and remove certain barriers. We are not fluent yet, but we are fully committed.

Critical and cultural growth comes through listening and dialogue.

From the meeting between the elegant beauty of Arabic script, the rich complexity of two cultures, and the professionalism of SOLUZIONIMUSEALI ims, unique and engaging projects can emerge.
