Amalia Del Ponte – Onde lunghe e brevissime
PROJECT ACTIVITIES
Exhibition realization: coordination of transport, insurance, setup project, lighting, projections.
We had the pleasure of being the installers of the exhibition Onde lunghe e brevissime by Amalia Del Ponte at the Studio Museo Francesco Messina, curated by Eleonora Fiorani.
This exhibition was of great emotional impact, thanks to the works and videos of the Milanese sculptor who, in 1973, was awarded the prestigious First International Prize for Sculpture at the São Paulo Biennial in Brazil.
Amalia Del Ponte's research, as a student of Marino Marini at Brera, is characterized by a profound scientific interest. In fact, there are few figurative works by the artist, who was soon drawn to exploring the relationship of forms in space, visual perception, and, ultimately, sound production.
In the exhibition at the Studio Museo Francesco Messina, complementing the exhibition continuing until September at the Museo del 900 in Milan, three of Del Ponte's sound works were displayed: “Aria della freccia,” “Consonanze,” and “Macina,” the lithophones on which she focused her research between 1985 and 1995.
